BE8650: BE8600 HD Encoder with companion DVB-S/S2 & DSNG or DVB-T/T2 Orion Modulator

The Telairity BE8600 is a small and powerful real-time High Definition (HD) video encoder combining leading edge H.264/AVC video encoding for the highest possible picture quality with a low latency of 250ms. Featuring 4:2:0 distribution encoding, “instant on” for immediate availability, and Telairity’s unique “two button” profile-based front panel control for quick and easy field operation, the cost-effective and reliable BE8600 addresses the critical needs of broadcasters for a platform with the size to go anywhere, low latency, high picture quality, and minimized power consumption. Like all Telairity products, it can be easily maintained and upgraded via a simple firmware download.

The Telairity Orion Modulator is a state-of-the-art modulator designed for either satellite operations, in compliance with DVB-S, DVB-S2, and DVB-DSNG standards and requirements about Carrier ID defined in ETSI 103 129, or for terrestrial operations in full compliance with the DVB-T/T2 standards. It provides best-in-class performance as measured by a high SNR value, excellent shoulder levels, and low phase noise. Full L-Band (950/2150 MHz), IF Band (50/180 MHz), or Terrestrial (30-900 MHz) coverage is achieved with a large, flexible bitrate range of 0.25 to 200 Mbps. The Orion offers MPEG-TS input over ASI or IP, signal scrambling (BISS-1, BISS-E), and opportunistic data insertion (MultiProtocol Encapsulation).
